Food Sharing
At Feeding Kannapolis Hunger, we receive donations from a variety of farmers, poultry farms, bakeries and grocers. We also 'glean' the fields with volunteers from the Society of St. Andrews. 'Gleaning is the act of collecting leftover crops from farmers' fields after they have been commercially harvested or on fields where it is not economically profitable to harvest.
Healthy Cooking
We hope to not only share fresh produce, bread and eggs, but give special programs to help our neighbors learn to prepare healthy and nutritious meals.
